Mr. Humphries Being Served in Heaven

Inman_john John Inman is dead.

Long live Mr. Humphries!

I once met Mr. Inman...it was 5 pm and he was as drunk as Paula Abdul, but it was public television so I forgive him. (Did I mention it was a telethon? Make mine three-fingers please!!!)

So yes, John Inman, a.k.a. Mr. Humphries from the BBC's 'Are You Being Served' is dead.

Mr. Humphries is a wonderful little fellow and I thank Mr. Inman for creating him from the bottom of my big Telly Nelly heart. After all, he's one of the most noteworthy Nelly's on TV!

Read all about his passing here...

I'm sure dear Mr. Inman made it all the way to the top floor to mingle with the big guy, and my most heartfelt Telly Nelly thoughts go out to his partner of 35 years, Mr. Ron Lynch.

He shall be missed!

That makes me really sad. I loved him on that show (and even the tacky sequel they did years later that was frighteningly similar to Golden Palace).

You're right, he shall be missed.
